Do I have to move my domain away from GoDaddy?
No. You keep the domain at GoDaddy exactly as it is — this is only about the Website Builder subscription, not your domain or DNS registration. We replace the builder with owned code on free hosting, then point the domain's DNS at it. Your registrar account stays untouched.
Can I export my GoDaddy Website Builder site?
Not in any usable way. Websites + Marketing gives you no meaningful export — you can't take the site with you, so leaving means a rebuild. That rebuild is exactly what we do: we recreate the whole thing — look, layout and working interactions — as a clean codebase you own.
Do my contact forms and interactive blocks still work?
Yes. The migrated site is fully working, not a frozen snapshot. Forms are re-wired to a third-party handler (Formspree, Basin, Netlify Forms) so submissions still reach you after you leave, and galleries, lightboxes and menus are rebuilt cleanly so they keep working without the GoDaddy runtime.
What about a store I built on GoDaddy?
Simple product catalogues and Stripe Checkout links migrate cleanly and keep working. For a larger store we'll talk through the best owned-code path (a lightweight cart, Stripe, or a headless setup) before quoting — send us the URL and we'll advise.
How do I edit the site after migrating?
It's standard HTML/CSS/JS in a normal git repo, so any developer — or an AI coding tool — can edit it. Hire a freelancer for an hour, use your own team, or send changes back to us as a paid one-off. Nothing ongoing.
